A Bit of History

Marshall Point Lighthouse, established in 1832 in the village of Port Clyde, is a captivating coastal landmark. Its 31-foot tower, constructed of granite, guides ships through the entrance to Penobscot Bay. Notably featured in the film “Forrest Gump,” the lighthouse attracts visitors with its picturesque setting, offering views of the St. George Peninsula and the Atlantic beyond.
